How much does a video ad cost in India in 2026?

By Hardik Shah, founder of 72 Hours Studio · Published 19 October 2026 · Updated 23 October 2026

The short answer: a short video ad for social media costs anywhere from about ₹2,500 (one UGC creator video) to ₹1.5 lakh (a live-action product video from a production house), and brand films run into several lakh. AI-made product videos sit at the low end, from a few thousand rupees. What you should pay depends on how many ads you need each month, not on what one ad costs.

We sell AI video ads, so read our view with that in mind. Every number below is from a published source, linked at the end, so you can check it yourself.

Most agency and production-house prices are quoted plus 18% GST. Individual creators and small unregistered studios usually don’t add GST.

UGC creators

Published Indian rates put a 30-second product unboxing at roughly ₹2,500–₹4,500, a 30-second talking-head testimonial at ₹3,500–₹5,500, and a 60-second lifestyle demo at ₹5,000–₹7,500 per video. Creators often charge more for extended usage rights, which you need if you plan to run the video as a paid ad for months.

UGC agencies

Agencies manage the creators, scripts and edits for you. Published Indian packages start at about ₹3,000–₹4,000 per video for creators shooting in their own homes, and run to ₹8,000–₹40,000 per video for studio shoots, actors and premium creators, usually plus GST.

AI video studios

This is the newest option and the widest range. At the top end, agencies making premium AI ad films quote from ₹1 lakh, and ₹1–4 lakh for a 30-second AI ad. At the other end, product-led AI ads built from your own product photos cost a few thousand rupees. Our own prices are ₹7,999 for a product-led ad of up to 30 seconds and ₹19,999 for a Premium cinematic ad of up to 60 seconds.

Production houses

A live-action product demo of 30–60 seconds is published at ₹50,000–₹1.5 lakh, and a 2–5 minute cinematic brand film at ₹3–10 lakh or more, before taxes and travel. You’re paying for a crew, equipment, locations, actors and a real shoot day.

What pushes the price up

The number that matters: cost per month, not per ad

Ads wear out. The same people see the same video again and again, and results drop, so most brands running Meta ads need a steady supply of new creatives. That’s why the per-month maths matters more than the price of one video.

Here’s what 8 new video ads a month costs at the typical prices above:

RoutePrice per ad used8 ads a month
AI ads on a monthly plan (our D2C Ad Engine)₹5,625₹44,999, plus 12 static ads
UGC creators₹5,000 (mid-range)₹40,000 + usage rights
UGC agency (5-video pack)₹15,000₹1.2 lakh + GST
Production house₹50,000 (low end)₹4 lakh + GST

If you spend ₹1 lakh a month on ads, spending ₹4 lakh a month on making them doesn’t add up. If you spend ₹20 lakh a month, a ₹1.5 lakh hero video can easily pay for itself. Match your production budget to your ad spend.

Questions

What is the cheapest way to get a video ad made in India?

An AI-made product video or a single UGC creator video, both of which usually cost a few thousand rupees per video. Production houses and agencies cost far more but bring crews, actors and locations.

Is GST extra on video ad prices?

Usually yes. Most agencies and production houses quote prices plus 18% GST. Freelancers and small studios that aren’t GST-registered don’t charge it, so always ask whether a quote includes GST.

Do I pay extra to use UGC videos in ads?

Often, yes. Many creators charge more when a brand wants to run their video as a paid ad, for a longer period, or on more platforms. Agree usage rights in writing before the shoot.
